Better Homes And Gardens 100 Days Of Holidays
Our friends in Meredith's Special Interest Media contributed more help and content this year than ever before. For even more depth of coverage, BHG.com sister site Parents.com, also participated in content creation for this year's program. And we're reaching out to food blogs, craft blogs, cooking blogs and mom blogs to get involved, too.
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 26, 2008
Better Homes and Gardens magazine and BHG.com launched 100 Days of Holidays today with Halloween costume ideas, pumpkin carving patterns and other interactive tools. The holiday program also offers hundreds of free recipes, party themes, decorating ideas, craft projects, slide shows, email newsletters, how to videos, online courses and photo contests to the magazine's readers, the home and family site's visitors, as well as food blogs, craft blogs, cooking blogs and mom blogs.
BHG.com Senior Holidays Editor Debra Steilen said, "This year's 100 Days of Holidays program will be our largest and most exciting ever. And we're reaching out to bloggers as well as to our readers and visitors to ensure that everyone enjoys great holidays without the hassle."

- More than 400 new free recipes (starting with Halloween recipes), party themes, craft projects, decorating ideas, slide shows, and feature stories. Readers, visitors and bloggers will be inspired with the absolute best from The Better Homes and Gardens editors and designers. The number of slides per show have been doubled or tripled, in some cases.

Users can also e-mail their virtual jack-o'-lanterns to friends and family, print them as beautiful cards, see other users' pumpkins, and get exclusive new Better Homes and Gardens stencils.
- Make-a-Snowflake, which immediately grew to become BHG.com's most popular holiday tool ever when it launched last year, has an all-new look for 2008. It's easy to create gorgeous snowflakes, and then watch them drift down from the sky. Users can share their snowflakes, print them as greeting cards, and see and comment on other users' artistry.
- Gift Gallery has hundreds of all-new options that make it easy for users to find unique gifts for people of all ages and interests, from babies to grandparents.
- Create-a-Cookie turns users into virtual bakers by letting them pick various cookie shapes, then choosing fun decorating techniques to create the coolest cookies ever. Users can e-mail their cookies to friends and family, print them as beautiful cards, and see other users' creations.
- Three online courses (Thanksgiving: Everything You Need, 12 Days of Holiday Baking, and Holiday Decorating) make it easy for users to get ready for the major holidays by bringing targeted ideas and instructions to their in-boxes.
- New photo contests let users can share their favorite holiday photos, and see and vote for images from others. Top vote-getters can win everything from flip video cameras to $2,000 worth of furniture from the extensive Better Homes and Gardens collection.
- More partner participation in this year's 100 Days pf Holidays, which is also appearing on Parents.com, MSNBC.com, and ATT.com, will enable the holiday program to reach millions more users.
